Weija Gbawe Constituency Holds First Ever Enterpreneurial Summit

The Weija-Gbawe Constituency ably led by, Tina Gifty Naa Ayeley Mensah the Member of Parliament on Monday 24th April, 2023 successfully held its maiden entrepreneurial summit.

The summit which was aimed at equipping participants with skills and knowledge in Entrepreneurship was well decorated by the presence of skilled and successful personnel in the field of business. Over 700 people turned up for this great session.

Mr. Michael Danquah, NPP Chairman, Weija-Gbawe gave the welcome address and gave them a brief life history of himself as a starter for the event. Writing of proposals, Networking, Financial knowledge among others was also taught by Mr. Kofi Nkansah, CEO (NEIP).

He said these were tools all business-oriented personnel need to make their businesses flourish. He further touched on the need to have a start-up capital after gaining the knowledge being provided and informed the house of the provision of some capital they can use as a start-up kit Teaching on how to grow businesses was also facilitated by Mr. Patrick Boadu, a business consultant.

The CEO of Pharmatrust Pharmacies and Pharmaceutical College, Mr. Anthony Agyapong educated the participants with his life experience of how he started his pharmacy business and how he met a God-sent man who aided him to succeed. The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Patrick Kumor also had a session with the participants, he motivated them by sharing his life story and encouraged them to be focused in their quest to be successful entrepreneurs.

Tina Mensah, Member of Parliament for the Weija Gbawe Constituency through a WhatsApp call inspired participants and encouraged them to make good use of whatever knowledge they are going to acquire at the summit to enable them reach their goals as successful businessmen and women.

In attendance were some constituency executives, council members, electoral area coordinators who played various roles to get the summit this far by success. The former The MCE also graced the occasion with his presence. Certificates were presented to the participants by NEIP in partnership with the Ministry of Finance.
