Weija - Gbawe holds second assembly meeting
The Weija - Gbawe Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region has held its second ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the second session of the forth assembly.

Addressing a cross-section Assembly Members and other stakeholders at the Assembly Hall yesterday, Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor said, “It is a constitutional responsibility as an assembly to improve upon the quality of lives of our people, enhance their future prospect and build their hopes and also confidence in the government.”
To achieve this, he revealed that the assembly has adopted various strategies to promote and improve the socio-economic development of the ordinary Ghanaian citizenry through the implementation of modern programs and good policies.
He said the Assembly remains very resolute and firm to help implement its planned program and projects although the entire nation and the world at large is still suffering from the effect of the novel COVID-19 pandemic.
The MCE also took time to touch on issues such as revenue performance, agriculture, health, education, social intervention, road infrastructure, Finance and central government policy decisions and implementation among others.
Meanwhile, in a bid to ensure effective and proper mobilization of Internally Generated Fund (IGF), the MCE revealed the Assembly’s plans to acquire more Point-Of-Sale (POS) devices and vehicles for revenue collectors to help ease and facilitate their work.
The Assembly, as of now has only three vehicles and fifteen POS devises for revenue collectors.
