The initiative forms part of a broader commitment to promote a cleaner and greener municipality, in line with the vision of the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Rita Akosua Awatey, who continues to champion environmental sustainability and beautification efforts across the region.

The exercise brought together key stakeholders, including the Chief of Akyem Aboabo, Assembly Members, the Municipal Head of Parks and Gardens, Assembly staff, and a large number of enthusiastic youth. Their collective effort led to the clearing of overgrown weeds and the planting of trees and flowers to improve the environmental outlook of the area.

Speaking on the initiative, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Solomon Brako Kusi, emphasized that the exercise is not a one-time activity but part of a sustained and deliberate effort to instill discipline, promote sanitation, and enhance the overall image of Birim Central.

The Assembly also extended its appreciation to donors and well-wishers whose support contributed to the success of the exercise, noting that their generosity plays a vital role in driving development within the municipality.

Gratitude was further expressed to traditional authorities, stakeholders, and the youth for their continued commitment and readiness to support initiatives aimed at improving the community.

The Assembly remains committed to sustaining such efforts as part of its long-term vision for environmental management and urban beautification in Birim Central.
