He said the Assembly exists to help find solutions to challenges confronting the various communities with the help of the people, therefore it is important for the citizenry to be active in the administration of the district by sharing ideas that can help promote the district.

The DCE made the call when he addressed various communities as part of his familiarization tour of the district.

His aim was to teach at first-hand, challenges confronting the people and also the extent to which ongoing projects have been gone so far.

Having visited 11communities so far with 32 more to visit, Mr. Amponsah noted issues of water, electricity, road, and education as being areas that most communities wanted the assembly to focus its attention on to bring some relieve to them.

He bemoaned the deplorable state of roads in the district adding that out of 127 kilometers of road in the district, only about 4kilometers have been tarred.

To this end the DCE stated that while efforts will be instituted to ensure regular maintenance including reshaping of the roads, he will liaise with the two Members of Parliament in the District to help see more tarred roads in aid free movements of goods and services.
