Gomoa Central accounts to communities
Gomoa Central District Assembly has held its first ‘Meet-the-press’ to disclose its successes and account to the people on various government flagship programmes and policies.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Benjamin Kojo Otoo, highlighting on the achievements of the government in the district since 2018, and the impact it has had on the people revealed that a number of works have been done in the various sectors of the economy, including the completion of projects inherited from the previous administration.
Mr. Otoo said his administration has completed a K.G block at Afransi, 3 unit classroom block at Obuasi, 6 unit classroom block at Pomadzi and Lome,, CHPs compound at Aboso, CHPs compound at Mangoase, furnishing of NHIS office, police station at Pomazdi, building of dubur grounds at Akropong, training in the fabrication of chiness doors, 325 benificiries from masloc, presentations of corn mill machines to the disabilities among others.
He said the district has witnessed so many developmental projects in every sector of the economy such as security, health, agriculture, water and sanitation, education among others.
The minister of National Security Albert Kan Dapaa, who pass by to witness the occasion told the congregation that it is very vital to give accounts to the people so that they will know what their monies are being used for. He used the opportunity to advised the people on the referendum ahead of them.
The Member of Parliament together with the regional minister Kwamena Duncan and Naana Eyiah advised them to all join hands with them so that they lift the district high.
Dignitaries from various communities including the chiefs and the media were invited to join the maiden ‘meet the press’ event for the assembly to render account to the people.
Opportunity was given to all the people gathered to ask questions concerning development of the District.
