Gomoa Central District Assembly donates food items to Muslim Communities on Eid-Ul Fitr

The items made up of 95 bags of rice and 30 cartons of cooking oil were to be distributed to the 26 Moslems communities in the District.

Presenting the items at Gomoa Afransi, DCE for Gomoa Central, Hon. Benjamin Kojo Otoo congratulated the Moslem community for going through the 30-day fasting and prayers successfully.

He urged them to use the Eid-ul Fitr celebration to pray for His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, his Vice, Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Bawumia, his Ministers of State and all Government Appointees.

" This donation was spearheaded by President Akufo Addo due to his commitment to support the Moslem community in the country.

As you celebrate Eid-ul Fitr, be mindful of the Covid-19 pandemic and abide by all the safety protocols.

Our honourable Member of Parliament, Hon. Naana Eyiah should have been here with us but equal national assignment has taken her somewhere else.

She extend her seasonal greetings to all Moslems in the Gomoa Central Constituency.

Let me take this opportunity to thank you for your fasting and prayers which has contributed positively towards the development of the Gomoa Central District"

Gomoa Central Nasara Coordinator of the NPP, Alhaji Baba Adam Musa who received the items on behalf of the Moslem community commended President Akufo Addo led NPP Government for the donation.

He accordingly thanked Hon. Naana Eyiah and the DCE, Hon. Benjamin Kojo Otoo for their cordial relationship with the Moslem community adding it has brought governance to the doorsteps of the people.

Alhaji Baba Adam Musa assured that the items would be fairly shared to serve the purpose of the donor.

Gomoa Central Constituency Chairman of the Ruling New Patriotic Party, Alhaji Omar Adam while praising MP, Hon. Naana Eyiah and DCE, Hon. Benjamin Kojo Otoo for their inspirational leadership, encouraged Moslems to sustain the same love and coexistence they exhibited during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

" We thank Allah for giving us the strength to go through the fasting period. Let us be mindful of our Islamic teaching and abide by them.

Gomoa Central Constituency branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) will continue to work hand in hand with the District Assembly to implement government's programmes and policies aimed at improving the lives of the people"

Present were the Gomoa Central District Coordinating Director, Dr. Eric Akobeng, Leaders of the Moslem communities in Gomoa Central, Gomoa Central NPP Women's Organizater, Mrs. Dina Aubyn as well as the Constituency Communication Officer, Mr. Edward Mintah.
