The facility, when completed, will serve as the district’s only fire station to fight the rampant fire outbreaks in the area.
Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive of the area, Ignatius Asaah Mensah expressed worry over how the district had to depend on other neighboring districts whenever there was an outbreak.
Meanwhile, phase one of the project was nearing completion when the DCE together with some top Assembly officials visited the site to ascertain for themselves the progress of work done on the facility.
The DCE, who was pleased about the pace of work done on the project, used the opportunity to thank staff of the Assembly for working tirelessly to ensure that the Assembly benefits from the project through the Districts Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT).
He concluded by charging the contractor to work assiduously to ensure that work completes on time.
