Mpohor district holds Town Hall meeting
The Mpohor district assembly in the western region has held its maiden town hall meeting as means of bringing accountability and good governance to the door-step of the people.

The meeting was aimed at presenting government policies at both national and district levels and also to give the various stakeholders the chance to make meaningful contributions into issues of development as means of strengthening democracy and decentralization in the area.
The District Chief Executive, Ignatius Asaah Mensah, in his address, noted that the meeting was the first of its kind in the district, adding that “it's only organized under the governance of his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo”.
In his keynote address, the DCE touched on some Government policies and programmes which include revenue mobilization, financial accountability, free education, one district one factory, health, infrastructure, sanitation and security.
The Member Of Parliament (MP) for Mpohor constituency, Mr Alex k. Agyekum at the meeting outlined some key projects that were currently ongoing in the area stressing that there are more of such developments in the pipeline and will soon be rolled out.
The MP later handed over ten brand new hair dryer machines to ten people who have gone through training to help start their own business.
Nana Osabarima kwaw Entsie II commended the DCE for the good work and advised the people to work hard in order to help uplift the good name of the district.
