OFORIKROM: MCE presents furniture to selected schools

In order to improve upon education, the Oforikrom Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region on Monday, January 13 presented furniture to some selected schools within the Municipality.

In all, 650 dual desks, 720 mono desks, 100 tables, and chairs were presented to the heads of the selected schools including Deduako M/A JHS, Weweso M/A Primary B, Emena M/A Primary, Boadi M/A Primary, Oforikrom M/A JHS among others.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Mrs. Gloria Temmah Gambrah during the presentation indicated that she was optimistic the donation will go a long way in promoting quality education in the various schools.



Also, she urged the various heads to ensure good maintenance so as to prolong their lifespan.

The heads of the various schools that benefited from this kind gesture showed appreciation and promised to take very good care of them.



They indicated the donation will go a long way in supporting the learning process of the pupils and children in the school.

Mrs. Joyce Boateng, the headmistress of Bomso M/A JHS said, “The pupils were bringing their own tables and chairs from their various homes and sent them back after school hours and that was too stressful. That practice affected tuition, and that is why the donation comes as a joy to us.
