The scholarship is in line with the two organizations' noble vision and concerted aim of giving back to society through education.
The District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. Fred Offei at a durbar held at the forecourt of the assembly where representatives from BOST and MoE officially embarked on a vigorous screening process to select the qualified students, extended his appreciation to the parties involved for finally making this dream a reality.

The District Director of Education, Madam Harriet Lomotey said the scholarship packages had come at a good time and it’s a mark of progress for not only the students but also the directorate.
She therefore encouraged them to work hard when they finally receive the scholarship packages to be able to serve the District and the country as a whole, adding that the District will be given ten slots for students next time.
The Director for Corporate Social Responsibility of BOST, Mr. Yaw Dadzie explained that the scholarship scheme has benefitted several students from other communities that are directly impacted by their pipelines, adding that it is necessary that society enjoy their work in one way or the other.
A representative from the Ministry of Education, Mr. Abankwah also indicated that the initiative first started when the Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe saw the need to give self-sponsored scholarship awards to needy but brilliant students in his constituency.
He said when the MP became deputy Minister of education he made it a nationwide program while partnering with some corporate institutions in the country.
