Akuapem North Assembly receives items to boost Road Safety
Ghana Highway Authority in conjunction with Delin Consult on Tuesday 16th March 2021 donated some road safety equipment to the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly.

These items were received by the Municipal Coordinating Director of the Assembly Mr. Francis K. Mensah and were delivered by Mr. Nathan Dartey from Delin consult on behalf of the Ghana Highway Authority.
These items included Whistle, Reflective caps, Reflective Backpacks, Torch lights, Bicycle, and Flags (Red and Green).
In a short interview granted by the ISD News Desk, Mr. Dartey said the project was aimed at creating awareness and educating the residents in the Municipality about the importance of street lighting and the need for safe road crossing.
According to him, the consult with assistance from the Assembly would recruit volunteers to help residents especially the vulnerable such as school children and the aged to cross dangerous roads and streets where accidents and other nefarious activities occur frequently especially at night.
He also said the Consult has it on its radar, monthly stipends, to encourage volunteers to carry out effective surveillance on the road. According to him, the project was supposed to last for a year.
On a whole, eight communities have been earmark to benefit from the project. These included Tutu, Mampong, Mamfe, Saforo, Adawso, Tinkong, Okorase, and Mile 50.
In a short goodwill message on behalf of the Hon. MCE, the Municipal Coordinating Director Mr. Francis Mensah thanked the group for the honour done the Assembly. He called on all other groups and institutions to follow the initiatives of Delin Consult.
