Take Advantage of Flagship Programmes- Techiman North DCE

The District Chief Executive of Techiman North in the Bono East Region; *Hon.Addo- Donkor Everson* on Friday 3rd December 2021 joined gallant farmers of his District to Mark this year's 37th Farmers Day Celebrations at Bonya.

The colourful Farmers Day programme which is his *First Edition* since he was nominated by the President as DCE for Techiman North to him was historic to mark the Celebration at his *place of birth* *(Bonya)* which he thanked the planning committee for a yeomans job done for a successful programme.



As a Farmer himself,*Hon.Everson* ceased the opportunity to thank the organisers of this year's event and congratulated the Awardees and all Farmers for their tireless effort to make sure we have enough food to eat .

Hon .Everson further stressed that Farmers should have trust in Nana Addo's led NPP Government since they have Farmers at heart that's the reason why government has introduced various pro-poor Farmer policies like *Planting for Food and Jobs,One Village one Dam,Greenhouse Project,etc*.which needs to be embraced by all ,he added.


Speaking on the theme; *PLANTING FOR FOOD AND JOBS: CONSOLIDATING FOOD SYSTEM IN GHANA*,Hon.Everson said the theme was appropriate because Agriculture is the third force which contributes a lot to the growth of our economy hence the need for every citizen to join agenda by producing more to feed ourselves and export some since the government is committed to help every Ghanaian to excel in the Agric sector while government is committed to also support Farmers by laising with stakeholders in way of providing financial and Technological support to the citizenry.

*Hon.Addo Donkor- Everson* again urged the youth to take advantage of flagship programmes to venture into Agric sector to cushion them in their respective areas.

He further stated that he will do his possible best to support Farmers in the Techiman North District in all aspects the uplift the image of the District I the country.

Finally Hon.Everson thanked all sponsors and stakeholders who helped in diverse ways to make this year's farmers Day a success and told all award winners to work extra harder to climb the ladder to the Regional and National level in the subsequent year and charged those those who did win to also work hard for an award next year .

In all nine(9) individuals including some Associations were honoured at Bonya.
