The Gushegu District Assembly has invested heavily into the establishment of a community centre which will help residents get a standard facility for social programmes and other important gatherings.

A budget of about GHS 489,000 obtained from the District Development Fund (DDF) has been made ready towards the completion of that crucial project.

The District Chief Executive of the assembly, Mr. Fuseini Alhassan who made this known to Ghanadistricts.com in an interview said the project was currently underway and moving steadily at Gushegu.

He reiterated that the project forms part of measures to bring meaningful development to the people and increase infrastructure development to benefit residents.

Meanwhile with efforts still in force to promote quality education in the entire district, the assembly has expended about GHS 185, 000 to build a 2no 3 unit classroom block for Gushegu Senior High School (SHS). This is mainly targeted at easing congestion for the students and help authorities to open up admission to enroll more students into the school.

Mr Fuseini however noted that the project was yet to be handed over to authorities of the school.
