Mr Frederick Aryee, Assemblyman for Samsam Odumase in the Ga West Municipality has appealed to authorities and civil society organizations (CSOs) to complete a semi-detached bungalow for the Municipal Authority Junior High School.

He said the bungalow, which is roofed and plastered, had being abandoned over the past four years and was gradually deteriorating.

Mr Aryee told the Ghana News Agency on Thursday in an interview at Samsam Odumase that all his efforts to get stakeholders to have the project completed proved futile due to the lack of funds.

“I am appealing to the government, CSOs and all stakeholders to come to the aid of the school by completing the abandoned structure to enable the teachers to be accommodated in the town to ensure smooth teaching and learning,” he said.

The Assemblyman said most of the teachers in the school live outside the village and they find it difficult to get to school on time for lessons.

He lauded Coca-Cola Ghana for providing a primary school block and Ghacem Ltd for assisting with a large consignment of cement during the construction of the Junior High School (JHS) Classroom block.

Mr Aryee commended Plan Ghana and the United States Agency for International Development for giving them an Information and Communication Technology Centre, a library, sanitary facility and a renovated JHS block.

He further appealed to the government, CSOs, philanthropists and well-meaning Ghanaians to help put up a kindergarten block for the school.
