Residents of Aboadi/Fasin electoral area in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region are urging the government to come to their aid and extend electricity to the Fasin Clinic.

They claim, the absence of power at the health centre is to a large extent impacting negatively on the health service delivery as the health officials most of the time require electricity to facilitate their work.

Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, the Assembly man for the area, Ebenezer Essien stated that the Fasin Clinic which has served the health needs of the inhabitants over the years could not continue to exist without electricity and called on the District Assembly and other public spirit individuals to assist the town.

He said, the residents after building the health centre and later handing it over to the government nearly 27 years ago was expecting to have the facility connected to the national grid but that is yet to happen.

Hon. Ebenezer Essien, added that access to potable water is another challenge for the people of Aboadi as the boreholes which are drilled manually often dries up during the dry season.

He further called on the Assembly to complete the GETFund school project in the area which has been abandoned for the past two years.
