Accessibility to potable water has remained a challenge for most of the local dwellers in the country, but the government through several interventions is gradually solving water problems in the hinterlands.

Accessibility to potable water has remained a challenge for most of the local dwellers in the country, but the government through several interventions is gradually solving water problems in the hinterlands.

Consultations are currently ongoing for the smooth implementation of access to potable water for inhabitants of Piina in the Lambussie Karni district in the Upper West region.

The programme is one of the strategies by government to deliver easy access to safe drinking water in the bid to assists offer quality life for Ghanaians, especially those living in the local areas. 

Mr. Clement Benin, District Chief Executive for the Lambussie Karni District Assembly in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com emphasized that all things being equal the project will start in October this year.

He underscored that the assembly had a mandate of improving the social lives of people living in the area, therefore will not relax in enhancing the wellbeing of the residents under the prosecution of the “Better Ghana” agenda.
