The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere Afram Plains in the Ashanti Region, Samuel Asiamah, has called on assembly members to use means to generate revenue in order to ensure development in the area.

Mr. Asiamah made the call when addressing members at the assembly’s first ordinary meeting held at Kumawu. 

According to him members should not solely depend on the common fund and development funds but should also use other legitimate means to generate fund for development.

He said one major problem that hindered the assembly from achieving its development target in 2011 was as a result of low internal revenue generation.

Touching on sanitation the DCE indicated that the assembly has constructed several places of conveniences adding that the assembly is on the verge of putting-up more of such structures to bring utmost sanity in the area.
