Residents of Bedomase in the Sekyere South District of the Ashanti Region have called on the assembly to make good its promise of constructing a six unit classroom block for the community.

According to the assembly man for the area, the District Assembly Basic School is currently in a bad state, a situation which does not promote the delivery of quality education in the school.

He said the school which was built with thatch had its roof ripped off after a heavy down pour in the area some few weeks ago.

Touching on the health situation in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, Hon. Kwadwo Boahen stated that the absence of a health post for the community has denied the inhabitants of accessing quality health care, adding that residents have to either go to S.D.A. hospital at Asaman or the District hospital at Agona.

He also bemoaned the bad road from Bedomase to the district capital Agona which makes transportation an unpleasant exercise.

Hon. Kwadwo Boahen called for immediate repair works to be carried out on the Bitoa-Bedomase Bridge which he described as a death trap, noting that since the bridge was constructed in the 80s, it has not seen any renovation works.

He said though the D.C.E promised to construct the road and the bridge no rehabilitation work has so far been done on the facilities and urged the assembly to honor its promise.
