Not only are a number of school infrastructure in a deplorable state, but also they lack logistics to be able to function effectively.

Lack of textbooks, and unavailability of teachers are but few of the common challenges the educational sector is battling with.     And these the District Chief Executive, Augustine Kwesi Appiah indicated needed urgent attention to reverse.

"I am a product of schools under trees, and knows how terrible it is to receive education under such conditions" said the DCE

But the DCE said the Assembly would do its best to address the situation adding that some efforts have already started in earnest particularly to add more infrastructure to existing ones.

He however, noted that the Assembly would greatly accept assistance from central government to accelerate their quest eliminate schools under trees and improve existing structures that are not in proper condition.

His appeal follows revelation that the assembly is not able to generate enough money to carry out more of such projects because of limited economic activities in the area.

Nonetheless, he expressed confident that their efforts would yield some improvement in infrastructure for school.
