Kumawu Zongo gets new metal bridge

Built at a cost of Fifteen Thousand Cedis (GH¢15,000.00), the bridge has been designed to allow easy movement of pedestrians.
Hon. Addae Agyekum, the Chief Executive of Sekyere Kumawu District who inaugurated the structure stated that even though the overall operations of the bridge was better in 2012, due to lack of resources to maintain the bridge, it gradually deteriorated setting it as a death trap for the people in the community.
He noted that investments into infrastructure must be accompanied by policy, institutional and human resource improvements. These elements according to him must be integrated to ensure that such infrastructure produces expected outcomes and impacts to the beneficiaries.He called on the people to put the bridge into good use.
To grace the occasion were, the chief Imam for Kumawu Zongo, Abdul Rahim, Assembly member, Hon. Buckman Agyapong, Chairman for Social Service Sub-Committee, Hon. Ofori Fareed and the Chief Executive Officer of Deduke Construction Company.
