And with the rains right at hand, the Municipal Chief Executive, Michael Danquah has called on residents to compliment efforts of the municipal authority to bring flood issues to the barest minimum this year.

According to him, the Assembly has undertaken extensive dredging of vital drainage systems to ensure free flow of water and this is hoped to avert major rain disaster this year in the municipality.

Meanwhile, he warned that there would be consequences for individuals who attempt to make nonsense of all the efforts being made to keep people’s lives and property safe in the municipality.

Thus, those who tend to empty their waste bins into running waters any time it rains which eventually get the drains choked should advise themselves and adopt the right attitude and that keeps the environment clean and healthy for all.

He assured that his outfit will keep an eye on developments in the municipality and urged all residents to be each other’s keeper to prevent the occurrences of such bad behaviours.
