Mr. Nkum addressing the assembly at a meeting expressed regret that efforts from successive administrations to put the market to use has not yielded the desired results.

“It is very sad for government to put up such a magnificent market at Ankamu about seventeen (17) years ago without putting it into use and allow it to deteriorate. Our records show that several attempts have been made to make it operational but all to no avail”.

He has thus informed the people that a committee has been constituted made up of the District Director of Agric., District Planning Officer, Nana Otabil Ankamu, and the District Engineer to draw up a programme for a weekly market days on Saturdays at the market.

But to make their efforts effective and most patronage at the market, he appealed to the Assembly Members to dully inform their people particularly farmers and traders in to patronize the market to boost the confidence of others to come.
