GOMOA W: Visual Artisans launches association

Artisans in the Gomoa West District Assembly in the Central Region have been urged to take their profession seriously since they play critical role in the economic development of the country.

The District Chief Executive for the area, Bismark B. Nkum gave the advice at the launch of the Ghana Association of Visual Artisans (GAVA) at the District Assembly Conference Hall.

 

The DCE reminded them that their critical role as employers and trainers is well appreciated for which reason they must take their jobs as serious business and major contributors to socio-economic development of the nation.

He urged particularly trainers (masters) not to be concerned only with impacting skills in their apprentices but also help in the total development of those under them including the business aspects of their professions and the way of good moral standards.

 

Mr. Nkum also assured the association of the support of the Assembly to be able to stand firm and work towards achieving their objectives.
