He said it was an obligation on all citizens, especially those engaged in business activities to pay their taxes and fees to help the Assembly generate enough revenue to provide social infrastructure to improve the living conditions of the people.
Mr Boateng made the call when he commissioned the renovated market at Agogo. He said the Assembly was determined to use its internally generated funds to undertake projects that would help improve the welfare of the people in all communities in the District.
Mr Boateng commended the market women for their support to ensure the speedy completion of the market and asked them to ensure good sanitation at the facility to prevent outbreak of diseases.
Nana Adwoa Mansah, the Market Queen, thanked the Assembly for the gesture and said the women would honour their tax obligations to help the Assembly undertake more of such projects for the benefit of the people.
