Madamfo Ghana Foundation donates food items to Attakrom Primary School

Madamfo Ghana Foundation, a German based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has donated various food items and cooking utensils to the Attakrom primary school in the Tain District of the Bono region to augment the school feeding programme in the school.

The items were 5bags of rice, 1 bag of gari, 1 bag of beans, 1 rubber barrel, football, 10 packs of toilet rolls, 5 gallons of cooking oil, 4 boxes of tin tomatoes, 2 boxes of keysoap and a sack of washing powder.

It also included 300 rubber bowls, 300 rubber cup, 300 spoons, 4 plastic chairs, 1 cooking pot, 2 metal basins, 2 big rubber basins, 4 small rubber basins and 3 graders.

The foundation in ensuring a serene learning atmosphere for the children in the Attakrom community and its environs provided a six unit classroom block with office, store room and a four-seater water closet toilet facility for the community last year. Mechanized borehole and a kitchen was later added to the school.

In making the presentations, Mr. Micheal Donkor of Madamfo Ghana said the aim of the Foundation is to extend aid and improving the lives of the needy. He noted that the donation is to support the government’s school feeding programme in the school which will also help to motivate the pupil to always be in school.

Mr. Donkor stated that the donation of the items to the school signifies that the Foundation is monitoring the activities of the school and is in the position to do more if the facilities provided with are well catered for.

The District Chief Executive, Madam Charity Akua Foriwaa Dwommoh, in her remarks commended Madamfo Ghana Foundation for the numerous projects they had and continuing providing for the district.

She called on parents to support their wards to compliment the efforts from teachers, government and other donor organizations to improve teaching and learning in the district.

Nana Agyei Asamoah the chief of Attakrom was grateful to Madamfo Ghana Foundation for the numerous projects they have been providing for the community.
