Kadjebi district ready for 2025 BECE Examination

The examination papers have arrived with Officials from the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
A total of 1,467 candidates, including 765 males and 702 females, are expected to write the examination. The candidates are drawn from sixty Junior High Schools (JHSs), including 51 public and 9 private JHSs.
Mr. Christopher Agorkle, the Kadjebi District Examination Officer, who disclosed this information in an interview.
He stated that this figure represents an increase of 168 candidates compared to the 2024 BECE, which had a total of 1, 299 candidates, including 694 males and 605 females.
He noted that in 2023, 1,503 candidates, comprising 817 males and 686 females, were registered.
Mr. Agorkle mentioned that the 1,467 candidates will take the examination at six examination centres. He indicated that six supervisors, six assistant supervisors, and 54 invigilators would oversee the examination.
The Examination Officer advised the candidates to eschew examination malpractices, as those caught would face consequences.
The examination will end on Wednesday, June 18, with an Arabic paper.
