Bassa D.A JHS wins constitution quize competition in Sene East

The competition which saw contestants answering questions on the 1992 constitution and current affairs had Kajaji SDA JHS, Premuase Presbyterian JHS and Dadetoklo district assembly JHS securing 38, 35 and 27 points to place second, third and fourth respectively.
The four finalists had earlier topped preliminary competitions in their respective zones on their way to the final.
Welcoming participants the acting district director of the Commission Mr. David Dubong Kumongsua said the competition is aimed at encouraging the young ones to know and understand the constitution in line with the Commissions theme for the year ‘Ghana future: Our collective responsibility’.
Each participating school received a certificate of participation from the Commission whiles individual contestants took home assorted teaching and learning materials like school bags, mathematical sets, note and exercise books, rulers, pens and pencils amongst others courtesy Plan Ghana a non governmental organization.
Mr. Francis Akpanyi, the district director of education commended the contestants for a good job done and expressed the readiness of his outfit to collaborate with the Commission for similar programmes in future.
Nana Owusu Anokye an assistant director at the Sene East district assembly who represented the coordinating director expressed the need for all to study the constitution in order to promote citizens participation in governance.
