The visit was aimed at inspecting the Shea Processing Centre at Kpegu, a fully completed project funded by the Government of Canada in collaboration with SIGRA.

The facility is expected to benefit residents of Kpegu and neighbouring communities by promoting economic empowerment and improving livelihoods, especially among women involved in shea processing.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Imoro Yakubu Kakpagu, expressed appreciation to the Government of Canada and SIGRA for their continued support and commitment to the development of the Kumbungu District through the intervention.

Her Excellency Myriam Montrat urged members of the community to maintain the facility properly and reaffirmed the Government of Canada’s commitment to supporting development initiatives within the district.
