MCE commemorates world menstrual hygiene day with school girls in Techimamtia

The Municipal Chief Executive for Tano South, Emmanuel Kwame Frimpong, joined the Girl Child Education Unit of the Techimantia Circuit to mark World Menstrual Hygiene Day with female pupils from basic schools in Techimantia.

The event was aimed to promote menstrual hygiene awareness, support girl-child education, and empower young girls to take charge of their future.

Addressing the Pupils, Kwame Frimpong emphasized the importance of education and discipline in unlocking opportunities for a better future.

He encouraged the girls to take their studies seriously and highlighted the critical role of menstrual hygiene in maintaining good health and regular school attendance.

To support this cause, he presented sanitary pads to the girls under the government's Free Sanitary Pad Initiative, reaffirming the government's commitment to ensuring no girl is left behind due to lack of menstrual hygiene materials.

The MCE for Tano South, Hon. Emmanuel Kwame Frimpong, educating the Pupils Mr Frimpong applauded the efforts of the Girl Child Education Unit and pledged continuous support for initiatives that promote the well-being and education of young girls in the municipality.

In a short but brief address, the Tano South Municipal Director of Education, Ms. Agnes Amihere, advised the girls to remain focused on their academic journey and avoid deviant behaviors that could hinder their progress.
