Western North NDC Regional Chairman elected as Council of State representative
Mr. Michael Aidoo, a 66-year old businessman has been elected as the Western North Regional Representative to the Council of State.

Mr. Aidoo, who is also the Western North Regional chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), polled 18 votes out of 18 ballot cast to beat his only contender Mr. Nelson Ackah a 46-year-old man who happens to be the President of the Ghana National Association of Assembly members who had zero after a successful elections.
Mr. Michael Aidoo, popularly known in the public space as Big Aidoo and also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of KAAF University College before elected into this high position had served the NDC party from the constituency executive to the regional level for the past sixteen good years on different capacities.
Speaking to the Media after his declaration, Mr. Aidoo noted his readiness to present the region to the best of his ability bringing on board the experience he has gained over the years.
He pledged to offer better counsel to the President on issues of national interest.
"I am a free minded person and would do just that in the best interest of the nation". Mr. Aidoo promised to build good relations with the President to ensure the Western North Region gets it share of the national cake.
Col Retired Anthony Aduhene withdrew from the race, attributed his inability to meet delegates before the polls.
