Adansi South DCE inspects on-going projects in the district.
The District Chief Executive of Adansi South District Hon. Francis Kwabena Ankomah with the District Engineer Mr. Tabri Bonsu, the District Coordinating Director Mr. William Meledi and the District Planning Officer Mr. Rutherford Osei has inspected some of the on-going projects in some communities in the district.

The inspection of the projects was to enable him to ascertain the progress of the works on the projects.
The Team visited Kotwea, Wuruyie, Yaw Owusukrom, Avornyo, Kofi Gyaame, Kramokrom, Botwekrom, Mpirekyire and Ayaa Mankata.
Most of the contracts which were started in November 2016 have not been completed due to financial challenges of the contractors. School projects at Kofi Gyaame, Avornyo and Botwekrom which were started as far back as 2012 under the schools under trees programme are still lingering.

A CHPS Compound at Mpirekyire which is about 47% complete has been left to fallow because the contractor has left site.
The projects at Kotwea, Wuruyie and Yaw Owusukrom are at the finishing stage while that of Kramokrom and Avornyo are only 40% percent complete according to the district engineer and the planning officer. The only project which has been completed is a three unit classroom block at Atobiase. A six unit classroom block at Ayaa Mankata which is being through GETFUND is at foundation stage although the project started in November, 2016.

The District Chief Executive was not happy about the extent of work done on most of the projects and called on the district engineer to invite all the contractors for discussion. He however congratulated the contractor who is undertaking the construction of the school block at Yaw Owusukrom which 80% complete.
Discussing issues concerning the projects after the tour that District Chief Executive urged the District Coordinating Director and the District Engineer to abrogate any contract which has been breached and re -award them.
He was not happy about the situation the school children and the teachers find themselves in as far as the nature of the classroom blocks
they are in.
