The visit took him to Aboabo No. 3, Amenaso and Kwame Nkyi. After the monitoring of the roads the DCE interacted with the people in the communities to discuss how best the people in the communities could help in the maintenance of the roads to ensure their long life span.

At Amenaso Hon Francis k. Ankomah urged the people to use communal labour to weed the shoulders of the road to prevent run-off from destroying the road. “When the shoulders of the road become weedy, it does not allow the running water to pass through the gutters along the road but on the roads, the end result is the destruction of the road: it also makes the surface of the road muddy when it rains and all these provide the necessary conditions for the road to destroy”, the DCE said.

He thanked the people for supporting the government and called on them to provide the necessary things needed by their children to facilitate their good education for them to enjoy the Free SHS now that is has been rolled out.

Speaking on behalf of the people, a Unit Committee Member Mr. Richard Quansah thanked the DCE and government for putting the road into good shape and pleaded with the DCE to connect them to the national electricity grid.
