BIRIM C: Community 2 residents to get health centre
The Municipal Chief Executive of Birim Central in the Eastern Region, Victoria Adu has cut sod for construction work to commence on a new Health Centre for the residents of community 2, an Electoral Area in Akim Oda.

The project, when completed, would have 2 Consulting Rooms, female and male wards, family planning unit, laboratory, pharmacy, labour ward, recovery room, outpatient department and office with modern facilities.
The facility also includes a residential accommodation for medical officers of the facility.
The Project is funded through the Assembly’s share of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) and the District Development Facility (DDF), and estimated to cost at least GHs 1,108.724.65.
According to the constructors, “Charley B Construction Ltd”, the project is scheduled to complete in 7 months.
Speaking at the short groundbreaking ceremony, the MCE said improving and expanding health facilities to make healthcare delivery more accessible in the country is the utmost priority of the government and thus assured that the government will not relent on efforts to extend quality healthcare to deprived communities.
A representative from the Municipal Health Directorate, on his part, expressed appreciation to the Assembly and the Government for the support given to the Health sector.
He assured that the Directorate will take good care of the facility when completed.
