MCE inspects Koforidua Jackson park project
Work on the first phase of the redevelopment project of the Koforidua Jackson Park is progressing steadily.

This came to light, Mr. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for New Juaben South, together with his team of Heads of department, Assembly Members, Civil Society Organizations and other stakeholders inspected the progress of construction of the project.
The project under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support programme (GSCSP) was awarded to Soman Consult Limited to redevelop the park to befit a modern status in order to host all sort of events within the Koforidua Municipality and the nation at large.
Speaking to the media, the MCE noted that the inspection was to ensure that the contractors working on the Jackson Park project completes its on time and also ensure value for money.
“If you award contracts and you do not supervise, visit or manage the contracts properly, anything can be done and handed over to you. That is why I have taken it upon myself to visit this project site to know what goes on there every week”, he said.
The MCE expressed satisfaction with the level and quality of work being executed on the project and commended the contractors. In attendance were the Municipal Planning Officer, Municipal Engineer Officer, Municipal Information Officer and other staff of the assembly.
The contractors are now working within an extension of time from their initial time span allotted to them and they assured the MCE and management to complete the project by September.
