The MCE made this assertion when management of the Assembly on Monday, January 30, 2023 paid a working visit to scrutinize the phase one of the project which was expected for its completion last year December 2022.
He therefore urged the contractors to help complete the project on time so as to exhibit its beauty and function to the good people of New Juaben.
Mr. Charles Ababio, the project consultant for SOMAN CONSULT admitted for not meeting the deadline to complete the phase one last year. He explained that, some of the contractors delayed on their work due to technical issues in terms of new designs and specification on some areas of work on the project.
He therefore assured management to complete within the additional extension of time granted them, which is February ending, 2023.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Edward Abazing for New Juaben South Municipal Assembly encouraged the contractors to move in expedition so as to achieve the object of redeveloping the park.
“We will implore you to speed up the process since, we as an Assembly cannot afford to lose the second phase of the Koforidua Jackson park redevelopment” he indicated.
After a thorough examine on the ongoing project, the few mistakes that were identified by the MCE and his team were agreed to be corrected by the contractors for a solid work done.
