The MCE, Samuel Adongo provided a detailed update on the Assembly’s finances, revealing a significant gap in internally generated funds (IGF). He reported that as of the end of November 2025, revenue from Property Rates stood at GH¢1,403,138.16. This figure represents only 56.12% of the budgeted target of GH¢2,499,910.00 for the year.
“Significant efforts are being made to increase the Assembly’s IGF base to meet our numerous commitments,” Hon. Adongo stated.
On health, the MCE reported substantial progress, citing the implementation of various programs aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles, improving healthcare access, and addressing specific community health needs.
Security was a key agenda item. Hon. Adongo described the municipality as “relatively peaceful” but emphasized the need for total collaboration among law enforcement, emergency services, government officials, and community members.
In his role as Chairperson of the Municipal Security Committee, he pledged his full commitment to maintaining peace.
“I stand on behalf of the Security agencies to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to maintaining peace before, during, and after the Christmas celebrations,” he declared, stressing the importance of creating an environment where residents can move freely and safely.
The meeting served as a platform to review the year’s performance and strategize for a secure and prosperous new year.
