Already containers have been provided for each beneficiary by the Social Welfare and Community Development department of the assembly.

The presentation was done by the Municipal Chief Executive of the Assembly, Anthony Avorgbedor in the company of the Municipal Coordinating Director, and the Social Welfare and Community Development Director, Margaret Bayitse.

The MCE assured that all members of the association would be served at the appropriate time since it is a continuous programme, and urged all members who are yet to be served to remain calm for their turn.

He said the departure from giving out cash to persons with disability as was in the past is to ensure that beneficiaries do not squander the money with short period of time and find themselves in poverty again.

As champion of the SDGs and the Municipality adopting SDG goal One (No Poverty), the MCE advised beneficiaries to make meaningful living out of the items given them.

He also task the NBSSI/BAC Head to constantly monitor the beneficiaries and give them any assistance to help them stand on their feet with their businesses.

Meanwhile, Madam Margaret Bayitse warned the beneficiaries to take very good care of their investments, adding that there are no more windows of opportunity for them to come for more interventions in the future, that is how come they are being provided with things that can continuously generate income for them per their own request.
