Adrume, Klenomadi and Agordeke have been without schools for all these years forcing residents to send their children to school in nearby communities.
Students would have to walk about four to five kilometers to and from their communities each day to access education, a situation that put a lot of stress on the children, and does not serve as motivation for the children to take school seriously.
The situation is even worse at Agordeke as they have to cross a river to school. Rainy days are always automatic holidays because the river gets flooded.
However, the Municipal Assembly in ensuring all children have access to at least basic education has taken the initiative to construct the classroom block for the communities.
Municipal Chief Executive, Anthony Avogbegbedor in performing a sod cutting ceremony for the commencement of the projects underscore the importance of education to every community and nation, adding that when people are enlightened it leads to accelerated development, helps keep their environment clean as the people are always conscious of environmental hygiene.
He announced that roads from Dzodze to Kuli, and to Ehi and other communities will soon be worked on to improve transportation in those areas.
