Addressing the General Assembly meeting on November 20, 2025, the DCE reportedly cited concerns including staff absenteeism, reluctance to perform assigned duties, internal disagreements, delays in project implementation and inadequate operational support.

She also raised concerns about the provision of fuel and allowances for official duties, as well as what she described as alleged irregularities in the allocation of projects and funds by some Assembly officials.

The DCE further expressed concern about alleged attempts to misinform the Member of Parliament regarding the use of the 2025 Common Fund for development projects.

Mrs Zenabu urged Assembly Members, political leaders and staff to put aside personal interests and focus on the development needs of Nanton. She called for greater cooperation, discipline, accountability and integrity to strengthen the Assembly’s administrative systems.

The concerns come amid broader efforts by the Nanton Assembly to improve transparency and accountability in the management of public resources.
