Ablekuma North Assembly disburses items to PWDs

Persons with disability (PWDs) in the Ablekuma North municipality of the Greater Accra Region have received items from the Assembly for the first time since the assembly’s establishment.

Items received were wheelchair, deepfreezes among others.

The disability fund is a 3% of the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) which aim at minimizing poverty amongst the People with Disabilities (PWD).

Present at the event were Member of Parliament for the area, Akua Owusu Afriyie, Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Kofi Ofori and Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Emmanuel Kungyi.

Also present were some Chiefs and Elders, Staff of the Assembly.
