Ablekuma North launches “Operations Clean Your Frontage”
The Municipal Chief Executive of Ablekuma North Assembly in the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Kofi Ofori, has asked the residents of the area to fully participate in the “Operation Clean Your Frontage” exercise in order to help improve sanitation in the area.

The programme, which is being spearheaded by the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr Henry Quartey seeks to make it obligatory for all individuals and corporate entities to be responsible for the cleaning of their frontage and immediate surroundings.
The programme falls directly under the Minister’s "Let's Make Accra Work" agenda.
Speaking in an exlusive interview with Ghanadistricts.com after a float through the principal streets of the Municipality, the MCE underlined the importance of the programme in making Accra the cleanest city in Africa.
He added that the programme has also help the Assembly identify some pressing challenges facing residents of the area, adding that the Assembly will soon device ways and means to correct the wrongs.
He cautioned that the Assembly was bent on making Accra the cleanest city in Africa thus persons who flout various bye-laws regarding policy will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
The hinted that wrong-doers may be asked to cough up to GHc1, 200 or face jail term of three (3) to six (6) months or both.
He was hopeful that the people of Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly will come out in their numbers and partake in the exercise to avoid being arrested by the town council or Assembly.
