More Roads in Weija-Gbawe Asphalted

More major roads in the Weija-Gbawe municipality have been upgraded to asphalted status.

The over thirteen (13) kilometers of asphalt on some selected roads in the municipality has increased the asphalted surfaces to thirty-one (31) kilometers.

Recent applications include the Bulemin road (2km), Oblogo to Gbawe Palace (2km) and the Gbawe Palace road (0.6km).

The rest are McCarthy-Hills road (3km), the McCarthy-Hill South road (0.5km), the Tetegu main road (1.5km) and the CP main road (3km).


Speaking in an interview, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor reiterated his commitment to the upgrading of the road network in the municipality.

He made special mention of the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Hon. Tina Gifty Naa Ayele Mensah, through whose influence the municipality is witnessing such rapid development in the road sector.

Hon. Patrick Kumor (MCE), asked all road users to take very good care of the roads.

He said, for the roads to last for a long time, the washing and repair of vehicles will not be entertained.
