Adansi North District health committee duly inaugurated

The Adansi North District Chief Executive, Kusi Kwaku Eric, has disclosed that over 10,000 people have accessed the Adansi North District Hospital -Fomena, for medical care as of 13th May, 2024.

The DCE made this revelation during the inauguration of the Districts' Health Management Committee at the Amoanimaa Dede II hall, Fomena.

He remarked that, health matters are an essential part of human life and cannot be neglected and so, it is the responsibility of the committee to recommend measures that will help the health sector in the District to develop and meet the needs of the people.

The District Director of Health, Mr. Eric Atuahene Agyemang, briefed the committee members about the health situation in the District. He also outlined some functions of the committee which include the approvals of health development plans and budgets, conducting internal and external audit of health issues and attending to complaints from community members concerning problems they might encounter from care givers among others.

He further advised the committee members to put in their best efforts to help meet the purpose of the committee and also help to improve the health sector of the District.

The committee composed of a chairman, District Assembly representatives, Religious representatives and Health Care professionals, as well as representatives from the traditional council and citizens.
