Health workers receive presidential award

The Adansihemaa, Nana Amoanima Dede II in a colourful ceremony has presented certificates of appreciation to 12 health frontliners in the Adansi North District for their immerse support and dedication towards the fight against Covid -19 pandemic.

The District Chief Executive, Kusi Kwaku Eric in his remarks stated that the awards is a presidential initiative which aims at acknowledging health staffs who dedicated themselves and performed exceptionally well during the pandemic and pledged to honor them on his own behalf at an opportune time with a special dinner.

The Adansihemaa, expressed her gratitude to all the health staff for their selflessness during the pandemic and encouraged them to do more for the District.

The Health Director for Adansi North District Mr. Eric Atuahene revealed that training is ongoing for Health Workers at the Fomena District Hospital which is to be commissioned soon and was quick to add that, primary health care services would be given at the Fomena Health Center as well as other CHPS compounds but not at the hospital.

He therefore requested the Hon. DCE to commission the Dadwen/Kyekyewere and Adokwai CHPS compound to commence operations to augment the existing health facilities.
