NALAG elects new President; other executives
The National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana, NALAG, has elected Alfred Aseidu Adjei popularly known as Paa Joe as its President at the 22nd Biennial National Delegates Conference in Sunyani.

Mr. Asiedu Adjei, who is the elected assembly member for Avenor Electoral Area and currently the Presiding Member of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) in the Greater Accra region, won the election after contesting unopposed. He was therefore elected through acclamation.
He is expected to steer affairs of the Association for the next two years.
Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com after the elections, the President-elect called for unity among members of NALAG and pledged to work hard to give the association a befitting face-lift.
He noted that he was going to champion the welfare of members of the Association through capacity building workshops and trainings to better equip members about the requisite knowledge to handle affairs in their various electoral areas.
Mr. Asiedu Adjei seized the opportunity to expressed appreciation to his predecessors for the yeoman's work to foster growth in the association.
Other executives also elected are Patrick Kwame Frimpong, first Vice President, Ms Philomina Opoku-Asare, Treasurer, and Ms. Helena Mensah, National Women’s Caucus.
