Assembly paves Assaakae market

Traders at Assakea market in the Affia Kwesimintsim Municipality of the Western Region are grateful to the Assembly for paving the market to enhance trading activities.

The project, which was funded through the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF), will create a serene environment for these traders who used to sell their products on the shoulders of the road.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area, Kojo Acquah who was speaking during the commissioning of the facility, said the newly constructed pavement blocks would enable residents to undertake their day to day economic trading activities to improve their lives as well as increase revenue generation.

He urged users of the market to tidy up the facility for its sustainability and also stated that, adding that the Assembly will continue to provide programmes and initiatives that will improve the economic growth of the people and eradicate poverty.

The happy traders also lauded the MCE for such an initiative and promised to keep it in good shape.
