Now the government has changed the cost calculation in favor of school enrolment. Food alone is not enough but rather need a combination of food, health and childcare.
Mr. Nkansah said over the period of implementing the school feeding program, there were only three beneficiary schools from the district. This, however, has been scaled up to thirty – one (31) schools that are enjoying under the school feeding program out of the 400 schools in the district.
Thus, pupils in these public schools, primary and kindergarten have the opportunity to be provided with one hot nutritious meal, prepared from food grown from the district.
Additionally, he encourages parents to take advantage of the school feeding program in the basic schools to enroll their children for them to get quality education.
