Kade roads awarded on contract

The Government has awarded some roads in the Kwaebibirem Municipality on contract to facilitate easy transportation of goods and services.

The roads include; Adankrono-Kade-New Abirem, Asuom-Subi-Kade, Akropong-Pramkese-Adankrono and Kwabeng-Abomosu-Asuom.

Mr Seth Antwi Boasiako, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) made this known when he addressed Assembly members at the Assembly’s recently held second ordinary meeting at Kade, the municipal capital.

He said, these roads are in very deplorable state and the situation poses a threat to commuters and drivers plying the roads. He therefore called on contractors working on various roads to work on time to help the situation.

The MCE also disclosed that cocoa roads will soon be extended to the municipality after it was agreed in a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of COCOABOARD.

In other related development, Mr Antwi Boasiako also noted that, plans are far advanced for the construction of a 20-seater Water Closet toilet facility in the area.

According to him, the project is being spearheaded by Osabarima Agyare Tenadu (Kadehene) and funded by the Volta River Authority (VRA).
