The people have waited and pursued various governments for this, but finally light appears at the tunnel for them.
This follows the cutting of sod for commencement of a six-unit modern classroom lock for the community by the District Chief Executive of the Binduri District, Ayinga Abagre Yakubu.
The Poyamire school was a mud-building which was built by the community in 2008 and was roofed by Hon. Abanga Abdulai the then MCE for Bawku. Until now only a pavillion was constructed for the 8 years of the NDC government.
Mr. Yakubu told the people that it is only the New Patriotic Party that can save them from under-development and improve their living standards.
I went further and advised them to take good care of the school when completed and also to demarcate the school lands to prevent future litigation and also monitor the contractor so that good job will be done and report any negative attitude of the contractor.
The school he noted, has very vast land for future developments and school park for sports so they must protect it.
The chiefs also thanked me for the unprecedented gesture because they persistently followed my predecessor for the schools and it never yielded any results.
