KWABRE E: Assembly holds town hall meeting

Residents of the Kwabre East Municipality in the Ashanti Region were presented with the opportunity of interacting with leadership of the Assembly as way to bringing democracy closer to them.

The Municipal Chief Executive of Kwabre East Assembly, Nana Osei Asibey Bonsu with other officials from the assembly interacted with the citizenry on developmental achievements in the municipality in a town hall meeting held in Mamponteng.

The forum offered opportunity for educating the public on achievements so far, as well as other programmes and policies that are outline for execution for the betterment of the entire municipality.

In his presentation the MCE touched on educational, agricultural, health, roads, rural electrification among others.

Officials also used the opportunity to responds to concerns raised by residents and assured them of efforts to address them in due course.

Residents were also encouraged to be active participants in the development of the municipality through responsible behavious, including doing what is lawfully acceptable particularly with regards to waste management and disposals.

The meeting was organised by the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.

The MCE told the well-attended and participating gathering that he operates an open door policy to enable the citizenry know whatever the assembly does to upgrade the municipality and Ghana as whole.
